Environment Artist & Worldbuilder

Visionary Realms is expanding its Art Department and wants you to be a part of it! This is a fully remote, full time, permanent position which will work in close collaboration with Art Direction and Design to achieve intended gameplay goals in engine. A tight feedback and iteration loop should be expected. You will also work closely with the Concept Art team during set dressing in order to match the intended aesthetic.


  • Portfolio showcasing Greybox level design, as well as set dressing examples in engine
  • Strong background in Unity development and workflows
  • Experience with procedural, node-based tools for base terrain mesh development (Gaia, Houdini, World Machine, Gaea, etc)
  • Varied and demonstrable World Building experience assembling large open world and indoor environments with procedural tools
  • Experience with modeling, texturing and using light animation to bring a conceptual vision into reality
  • Excellent communication skills and a self-driven mindset
  • Passion for the MMO genre
  • Ready and able to begin work immediately


  • Game engine optimization experience. (Instancing/Batching, Occlusion Culling and Atlases)
  • Experience with Vertex Painting in engine
  • Experience with PBR shaders
  • Experience in: Maya, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Speedtree and Zbrush
  • Lighting & Rendering experience
  • Bachelor’s/Tech Degree/Certificate
